School Lunch ENG

We believe that nutrition is a universal right and that food is not only nourishment, but also tradition and innovation, health and well-being, ethics and responsibility. In one word: culture.

St.Thomas’s International School uses the school canteen service of the Cirfood company with which it shares the same ideals. A monthly menu is created by a nutritionist based on the food needs of the children, the seasonality of the products and the kcal.

The Cirfood company undertakes to make an important service available to the families of St. Thomas’s International School, that of nutritional support: one of their dietitians will be available one day every two months from 09:30 to 12:00 and from 15:30 to 17:00, to give/receive information, with respect to the menus in force and the service. By booking, interested parties will be able to organize remote interviews and dialogue directly with CIRFOOD experts, receiving useful information on feeding their children.

Canteen service

St. Thomas’s International School students can take advantage of the catering service or choose to bring their own lunch. Students who take advantage of the school catering service will be seated at tables intended for them, separated from those who bring lunch from home to avoid possible food contamination. Lunch times vary according to the age of the pupils, from 12:00 to 13:30. 

Please note that mid-morning snacks and refreshments are not provided by the school; students will have to bring a bottle of water and a snack from home, avoiding chocolate bars, crisps, gum, sweets and fizzy drinks. 

For pupils with intolerances and/or allergies, the canteen will prepare an ad hoc menu on the basis of medical certification necessarily provided by their parents.

Costs and payment methods

The canteen service has an annual flat-rate cost, which is independent of the days of attendance linked to absences due to illness or personal reasons,  of Euro 900.00. This amount can be paid:

  1. in a single solution (900.00 Euros) by 08/31/2022 
  2.  in two installments (450.00 by 08/31/2022 – 450.00 Euros by 01/31/2023 )

From next month there will be a new method of booking meals through the electronic register.
